Melbourne Design Week 2024: Design for Good

02.05.24

MEK founder & Executive Creative Director Mirella Arapian will be participating in an industry panel on May 23 for Melbourne Design Week 2024.

Hosted by leading strategic brand agency Edison, Design for Good — A Head & Heart Approach to Business is a discussion with strategists and design practitioners sharing their professional experience, case studies and insights on how they’re working to improve societal issues and contribute positively to their communities.

This includes:

• Balancing profitability with purpose and social good

• Aligning to global initiatives such as UN Sustainable Development Goals

• Fostering positive, diverse and inclusive creative workplaces

Held at The Commons QV on the unceded land of Wurundjeri Woiwurrung Country, panellists will share their journeys and capacity to drive positive change, reimagine broken systems, and stay hopeful that every small effort contributes to a groundswell of positive momentum.

All proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to Next Steps Australia, helping families affected by domestic violence establish a new home.

UPDATE: This event is now sold out.

MEK acknowledges that we live and work on the stolen land of the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people of the Kulin nation. We recognise their continuing connection to culture, land, waters and community, and pay respects to Elders past and present. Sovereignty has never been ceded. We acknowledge there can be no climate justice without First Nations justice. Always was, always will be, Aboriginal land.
