Revolutionising Sustainable Building Practices

The construction industry generates more than one third of the world's waste. Revival takes materials destined for landfill and turns them back into buildings. MEK built the strategy and digital experience around this mission, positioning Revival from a local building company to global environmental leader.

Revival is an award-winning building and design practice transforming construction waste into reusable materials. But its difference wasn't immediately obvious from the way the business was positioned.
The challenge was to make its mission clear: to show that construction waste isn't waste, and that the materials already around us can be part of a new and radically different way of building.

We repositioned Revival around the simple proposition of waste as a resource, making its existing philosophy the central idea across the brand.
This became the foundation for the positioning, messaging and digital strategy, shifting the conversation from waste to possibility.

Revival doesn't look like a typical construction company, and it doesn't talk like a sustainable brand either. Its mission statement is a manifesto. It calls out its own industry.
MEK translated that provocation into the digital experience — developing the information architecture, strategy and design system around a new way of telling the Revival story.
The website makes a complex business easier to understand without making it safer. Materials, projects, impact and process all have a place, but the voice stays uncompromising and unmistakably Revival.

“I can’t imagine a better design team than MEK. They invested in establishing a genuine knowledge of what we wanted to change in the world and how we’re able to do it; to the extent that I would describe them as ambassadors of our cause. The work they produce for us is consistently effective and has elevated our communications and the presentation of our brand, fit for a global audience. We cherish our partnership with MEK and couldn’t be more grateful for the incredible work they deliver in the name of our mission.”
